OK, so with Doubling season ruling they mentioned saying that each token will get X +1/+1 counters, this means that if you cast a spell and X=5 you'd get two 5/5 hydras, right? With Zaxara, the Exemplary creating a 0/0 token then putting +1/+1 counters on it, I was wondering how this would work with Primal Vigor or Doubling season?

This is because the ability that puts the counters on sees that the ability actually made two tokens but it doesn't care that it was written assuming there is only one it just knows to put X counters on the token(s) made previously.

Enchantments like Parallel Lives, Doubling Season and Primal Vigor are easy ways to gain favor with the slimy academic.
