The beach sand was very clean. Took kids to the beach area where they had a blast. October 31, 2020. You can drive your car most of the way in and then walk about 500ft to the pavilion to set up at one of the many grill sites or go all the way to the beach.
Went on a weekday and it was not very crowded.

City of Aurora … We liked this trail so much when we biked it last weekend, so we decided to run the 4.29 miles and then walk it back to the start, lots of beautiful fall colors, great run, This was a nice riding trail especially with all the fall colors, we will have to come back and do some running here, there are a few parts along the highway but most of it is along many parks, I thought it was a really easy ride until we got to cherry creek park and turned around and realized we were going down hill the whole way, so it was up hill all the way back, but made for a good workout. we had a very nice time. Nicely maintained and beautiful scenery. While walking at the park we were nearby the resevoir at many points. 2.2 km But it clearly was that the grass had been aerated, which makes me wonder if people just didn't know that or I was just in a different area without ducks. Based on our first/only visit, I'd give it a thumbs up if you're in the area and need a little bit of a beach fix.
